Implant Revision Gallery
Case 1
This San Diego area woman suffered bilateral capsular contracture years after undergoing a breast augmentation. She wanted improvement in the cleavage area as well as the changing shape of her breasts. She underwent removal of the breast capsules, adjustment of the breast pocket and placement of new implants. She is seen here 4 months after surgery AND 2 years from her surgery demonstrating maintenance of her new, improved position and results.
Case 2
This patient is a 29 year old model who had previously undergone augmentation with saline implants nearly 10 years ago. She complained of the implants being “too high” and the breast tissue drooping off of the implants. We performed an implant exchange to slightly smaller silicone implants, adjustments of the capsule and a peri-areolar breast lift to help reposition the breast in the center of the implant. The patient is seen here 2.5 months after her procedure with an improved, more natural shape to her breasts.
Case 3
This woman came to my office very frustrated after undergoing two failed breast revisions. She complained about the implants “bottoming out” and wanted to restore fullness in the upper aspect of her breasts. She underwent an internal tightening of the breast pocket (capsulorrhaphy) to help elevate the implants and restore a more natural and attractive shape to her breasts. She is seen 6 months after her reconstructive internal lift surgery.
Case 4
This area woman had complaints about her saline breast implants being too narrow and a wide gap between her breasts. She was interested in improving her cleavage and then underwent the placement of wider silicone implants with the enlargement of the breast pocket to produce a more natural and attractive breast shape, while still keeping with a more modest augmentation.
Case 5
This woman from Los Angeles, traveled to my San Diego Plastic Surgery office to treat concerns she had with the aging changes of her breasts. She had what is termed a “snoopy deformity” where the breast falls off the implant. She underwent removal of the breast capsule and a mild breast lift centered around the areola only. She is seen 3 months after surgery and the scars will continue to improve over the next 9 months.
Case 6
This patient is a 38 year old San Diego woman who began to notice aging changes of her breasts after previously undergoing a breast augmentation 12 years ago. She was unhappy with the droop of her breast off of the saline implant, and wanted a more youthful and natural shape to her breasts. She underwent an implant exchange to 500 cc, style 20/high profile breast implants with a “lollipop” breast lift to improve the position of her nipple and areola. She is seen here 3 months after her surgery with a more attractive and youthful look.
Case 7
This woman was unhappy with a previous breast augmentation and wanted help with improving the position and size of her breasts as well as a small reduction in size. She underwent an “internal breast lift” to elevate the position of her implants with the downsizing of her silicone breast implants to better fit her active lifestyle. There are no additional scars, only those from her original surgery.
Case 8
This woman in her 20′s had larger saline breast implants that had “bottomed out” and descended lower on her chest. This led to her being self-conscious about the lack of upper breast fullness she would show. We exchanged her saline implants for high profile silicone breast implants and performed an “internal breast lift” to help reposition the implants and restore a more attractive breast shape.
Case 9
This patient is a San Diego woman who suffered an obvious, spontaneous rupture of her left saline implant. She underwent exchange of her saline implants for silicone breast implants with manipulation of the pocket to improve her breast shape. She is seen 6 months after surgery.
Case 10
This patient suffered a spontaneous rupture of her right saline implant. She underwent exchange of her saline implants for silicone breast implants with internal tightening of the side of the right pocket to improve her breast shape. She is seen 1 year after surgery.
Case 11
This patient needed correction of a ruptured left saline breast implant. She was seen soon after the rupture and had it corrected without needing any manipulation of the breast pocket. Correcting implant ruptures early make for an easier, and quicker return to your normal routine.
Case 12
This San Diego woman suffered right sided capsular contracture one year after undergoing a breast augmentation with silicone implants. She underwent removal of the capsule and revision of the breast pocket with the placement of a new implant. She is seen several months after surgery and demonstrates complete correction of her contracture.
