You might still be busy ticking off all the checkboxes on your New Year’s resolutions. But life is starting to settle back into somewhat of a routine now that the Holidays are behind us.

Nonetheless, there is no better time than the present for plastic surgery.

I hear almost daily from patients who have been thinking about making a change for years. Patients hesitate because of fear, worry, or concern about what others might think. Almost every time, after patients undergo their procedure, they wonder why they waited so long.

The beauty of plastic surgery is that it is for you and you alone. The sooner you can correct whatever it is that bothers you, the sooner you can put that aspect behind you.

I usually tell patients that they do not need plastic surgery, and it doesn’t make them smarter or more popular. But, it can help to reveal a new, enhanced level of self-confidence. This is a real and very powerful phenomenon and should not be overlooked.

Self-confidence often surfaces more of your personality and inner strength. If plastic surgery can help this happen and at the same time make you look more like what your desire—then why not?

What Makes the Winter Season a Great Time for Plastic Surgery?

The winter is also a great time to have your plastic surgery procedure. That’s because recovery usually requires a patient to stay out of the sun.

With the winter cold, it is much easier to recover in cooler weather. It is common for patients to wear compression garments under their clothing. Plus, winter clothing is much better at camouflaging the underlying postoperative wear.

Regardless of when you decide to undergo plastic surgery, make sure to have it with a board-certified plastic surgeon.

A plastic surgeon can show you many before and after photos with results you’d be happy with.

Did you know that in the state of California, you don’t need to be board certified to perform plastic surgery? That’s right! Your oral surgeon can take out your wisdom tooth and then put in breast implants.

So before you go under the knife, do your research and make an informed decision.

Once you’ve done your research and found your doctor, then go for it! You’ll wonder why it took you so long to make that decision.

If you want to know what procedures might be right for you, call us at Marin Aesthetics at 858-638-9800 to make an appointment.

TO OUR MARIN AESTHETICS PATIENTS:

In light of the state wide restrictions on non-essential businesses to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we are rescheduling all of our elective appointments until the global circumstances improve. Our necessary post-operative appointments will be made, as needed, to address immediate surgical concerns such as suture removal and acute postoperative issues. All non-acute follow up appointments, fillers and Botox will need to be postponed until after the quarantine period mid April. Our office will reach out to all patients who need to be rescheduled.

We will be offering new patient virtual consultations online and via Skype that can be scheduled through our website or by emailing info@marinaesthetics.com. Also, we will offer follow-up appointments in the same manner to help manage our patients’ concerns while still respecting the need for social distancing.

We appreciate all of your understanding during these difficult times for all of us.

Stay safe,

Dr. Main and the Marin Aesthetics Team
