The upper arms can be one of the most difficult areas to properly tone. You might have a regular gym routine and eat healthily, yet there may be some of that unsightly excess skin, flab, and fat that remains on the upper arms. An arm lift cosmetic surgical procedure can get your arms in as good a shape as the rest of your body. Dr. Marin has many years of experience performing arm lift procedures so that patients can have upper arms that look as good as the rest of the body.

Arm Lift Costs

Dr. Marin charges approximately $8,000 for an arm lift procedure. This includes not only Dr. Marin’s fee but that of the anesthesiologist and other assistants needed for the surgical procedure. The cost may vary depending upon the extent of work done (mini, standard, or extended arm lift), as well as whether or not the procedure is combined with a liposuction procedure.

Dr. Marin accepts cash, check, or major credit cards. Patients may also opt to apply for CareCredit to finance their arm lift procedure. With terms ranging from as little as six months to 24 months, CareCredit offers easy monthly billing to pay off the cost of the procedure. Provided payments are made on time and within a certain time frame, no interest will be accrued. Applying is easy, and most patients can be approved while they are seeing Dr. Marin for their initial consultation visit.

Arm Lift Procedure

In an arm lift procedure, Dr. Marin makes an incision to lift away excess skin and underlying tissue from the upper arm. Excess skin and tissue are removed. The remaining skin and tissue are then sutured back into place, creating a much more contoured look to the upper arm. An upper arm lift procedure can be done alone or in conjunction with a liposuction procedure, which will remove any excess fat from underneath the skin before it is tightened and put back into place.

In some cases, where patients only have a small amount of excess underarm skin, Dr. Marin can perform a mini arm lift, which will only leave a scar under the armpit, rather than leaving a scar down the underside of the upper arm. A mini arm lift can be combined with a liposuction procedure. Conversely, in more extensive cases where the excess skin continues past the elbow to the forearm, Dr. Marin can perform an extended arm lift procedure. This can also be combined with liposuction.

Recovery generally takes anywhere from one to two weeks, depending on the extent of the procedure. The most common side effects during recovery are swelling and bruising at the incision sites. Patients will be given a tight-fitting compression garment to wear on the arms to reduce bruising and swelling. Cold compresses, ice, and taking the herb Arnica montana will also help reduce the amount and duration of bruising and swelling.

With summer coming up quickly, now is the perfect time to get ready to bare those upper arms in swimsuits and sleeveless outfits. Why not have Dr. Marin help you get ready to look your best this summer?

TO OUR MARIN AESTHETICS PATIENTS:

In light of the state wide restrictions on non-essential businesses to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we are rescheduling all of our elective appointments until the global circumstances improve. Our necessary post-operative appointments will be made, as needed, to address immediate surgical concerns such as suture removal and acute postoperative issues. All non-acute follow up appointments, fillers and Botox will need to be postponed until after the quarantine period mid April. Our office will reach out to all patients who need to be rescheduled.

We will be offering new patient virtual consultations online and via Skype that can be scheduled through our website or by emailing info@marinaesthetics.com. Also, we will offer follow-up appointments in the same manner to help manage our patients’ concerns while still respecting the need for social distancing.

We appreciate all of your understanding during these difficult times for all of us.

Stay safe,

Dr. Main and the Marin Aesthetics Team
