Facelift Costs

In today’s youth-oriented culture, it is important to keep one’s appearance as fresh and rejuvenated as possible. Unfortunately, age can take its toll on the face. Eyelids droop, bags form under the eyes, neck muscles sag, and a double chin may develop. This aging process may drive patients to consider a facelift cosmetic surgical procedure in order to look younger. This can include not only a full facelift, but also a browlift or eyelid lift. Dr. Vincent Marin has years of practice performing these procedures, and can help patients achieve that youthful appearance they desire.
However, cost may be an issue for many patients. Dr. Marin believes that patients should be offered as many payment options as possible in order to finance surgery. His staff can discuss with patients the various costs and payment options that are available.

Surgical Cost

A full facelift will cost from $8,500 to $10,000. A brow lift, which just lifts the forehead, will cost from $4,000 to $5,000. An eyelid lift will cost from $2,500 to $5,000. Pricing may vary, depending on the extent of the procedure, duration of anesthesia, and if patients choose to undergo multiple procedures at the same time (such as a facelift and an eyelid lift done together).

Health Insurance

In general, cosmetic surgical procedures are not covered by medical insurance. They are considered elective procedures. The only exceptions are procedures to correct a medical issue due to illness or injury. For example, facial reconstruction following third-degree burns would be covered by insurance. Patients should discuss both with their primary care physician and Dr. Marin the possibility of a facelift procedure being covered by medical insurance. If the patient and their doctors agree that there is a legitimate claim to file with the insurance company, Dr. Marin’s office is more than happy to help with gathering the necessary paperwork and filing the claim. However, in the vast majority of cases, facelift costs must be paid for out-of-pocket.

Other Payment Options

Dr. Marin’s office offers a variety of payment methods, including cash, personal check, or major credit card. CareCredit is another of these payment options patients can choose in order to finance their facelift procedure.

CareCredit works exclusively with health care providers, and has worked specifically with the cosmetic surgery field for a number of years. It provides no-interest financing options for anywhere from six to 24 months. CareCredit financing works just like any other major credit card. Patients are billed each month, and so long as the payments are made on time, treatment is paid of over a period of several months. The approval process is very quick and easy. Patients can generally get accepted for a Care Credit loan while they are seeing Dr. Marin for their consultation appointment.

Although the Fountain of Youth is just a myth, patients who undergo a facelift may look as if they have been drinking from that fabled fountain. They will look fresh, youthful, and rejuvenated. Dr. Marin can help them achieve this look with a variety of financing options that are quick, simple, and easy on the wallet.
